Neolithic Archaeological Site HIGH Priority
MAJOR PREHISTORIC RITUAL LANDSCAPE. Excavations revealed Neolithic houses, Bronze Age cremation cemetery, and Iron Age settlement. The Billown Circle was a ceremonial monument. This area has been continuously occupied for 5,000+ years. The field boundaries between Billown and Ronaldsway follow ancient trackways β detecting along these boundaries could reveal items dropped over millennia of travel.
