Chicken Rock Reef Wrecks
Historic Shipwreck & Dive Site LOW PriorityDangerous reef southwest of the Calf of Man, marked by a lighthouse built in 1875 after numerous wrecks. Currents run at 3-4 knots and conditions can be wild even in summer. The diving here is described as 'mind-blowing' by experienced divers β plumose anemones cover everything, Dead Men's Fingers coral, massive fish, and potentially even basking sharks. WHY DIVE HERE (experts only): This is IoM's most challenging dive site but also its most spectacular. Limited diving windows mean the marine life is virtually undisturbed. Wreck debris from multiple vessels adds archaeological interest. Only diveable during very specific tidal windows with calm conditions. Not for beginners.
