Iron Age Hillfort & Settlement LOW Priority
Iron Age enclosed farmstead in the south of the island. One of several similar sites that show how ordinary Manx people lived during the Iron Age (c.500 BC - 500 AD) — not hillforts and warriors, but farmers and families. WHY DETECT HERE: Iron Age domestic sites are less glamorous than hillforts but potentially more productive for everyday finds — pottery, tools, personal items from daily life. These sites are often in low-profile locations that detectorists overlook, giving them less competition.
