Keeill Vreeshey (Greeba)

Keeill dedicated to St Brigid (Vreeshey = Bridget) in the central hills near Greeba. One of the better-preserved keeill sites on the island. The dedication to St Brigid connects this to Irish Christian tradition. WHY DETECT HERE: Central location means this keeill served communities from both the northern and southern halves of IoM. The junction of routes through the central valley made this a natural meeting point. Multi-period potential in surrounding fields.
