Civil War-era earthwork fort in Andreas parish, built during the conflict between the Parliamentarians and Royalists in the 1640s-50s. The Isle of Man was the last Royalist stronghold to fall. WHY DETECT HERE: Civil War sites yield musket balls, uniform buttons, coins of the period, and military equipment. The IoM Civil War period (1641-51) is under-detected.
