Lag ny Keeilley (Patrick)
Early Christian Keeill & Chapel LOW Priority
The 'Hollow of the Churches' — extraordinary cluster of at least 4 keeill sites in a remote southern valley. One of the densest concentrations of early Christian remains in the British Isles. WHY: Keeills were community focal points for 700+ years — worship, baptisms, funerals, festivals. Each site potentially has centuries of associated finds. The valley's remoteness means very little modern disturbance. Monks and pilgrims used this route. Fields around the keeill sites (not the ruins themselves) are the detecting target.
