Meayll Hill Stone Circle
Neolithic & Bronze Age Site MED Priority
UNIQUE megalithic monument (~2000 BC) — 6 pairs of T-shaped passage graves in a circle. Nothing like this exists ANYWHERE else in the British Isles. Multiple cremation burials found with pottery and flint. Sits on spectacular cliffs above the Sound. WHY VISIT: The sheer uniqueness is reason enough. The Meayll peninsula was an important ritual landscape — clusters of monuments across this area suggest sustained sacred use over millennia. Nearby Cregneash village is a living museum of traditional Manx life.
