MV Glendun (Maughold Head)
Historic Shipwreck & Dive Site MED PriorityCoastal cargo vessel wrecked near Maughold Head on the NE coast. Now a popular shallow dive (~12m) on a kelp-covered slope. The wreck is well broken up but hull structure and fittings are clearly identifiable. Marine life is abundant — wrasse, pollack, crabs, lobsters colonise the wreckage. WHY DIVE: Perfect beginner-to-intermediate wreck dive — shallow, scenic, and easy to navigate. Combine with Merisia wreck nearby for a two-wreck day. Accessible by RIB from Ramsey or Port St Mary. The kelp-covered approach makes it feel like diving through a forest.
