Bronze Age Archaeological Site HIGH Priority South Barrule Bronze Age Approaches - Bronze Age Archaeological Site on the Isle of Man
The largest Bronze Age/Iron Age hillfort in the Irish Sea region with 70+ hut circles. The APPROACHES from all directions — particularly the gentler western slope — are where items were dropped by people climbing to the settlement over 2,500+ years. Focus on the natural 'saddle' between South Barrule and Cronk ny Arrey Laa where a Bronze Age trackway likely existed. This connects two major hillforts.
