Sulby Glen

Multi-Period Archaeological Site LOW Priority Sulby Glen - Multi-Period Archaeological Site on the Isle of Man
IoM's largest valley — the main natural route through the centre of the island. The TT race course follows the valley. Bronze Age, Iron Age, and medieval sites documented along its length. WHY: Natural corridors concentrate human activity across all periods. The valley floor and lower slopes have been farmed for millennia. River crossing points, fords, and bridge sites are the highest priority detecting locations within the glen. The river itself produces washed-out items after floods.
