Sulby Reservoir (Victorian engineering)
Multi-Period Archaeological Site LOW Priority
Victorian reservoir built in the Sulby valley. The construction in the 1880s-1930s would have disturbed significant prehistoric and medieval material along the valley floor. WHY: When water levels drop in dry summers, the reservoir margins expose material that was sealed when the valley was flooded. Victorian construction workers also dropped items across the dam and access areas. The paths around the reservoir are walked regularly.
